The cool, wet weather system has mercifully
given way to a few days of warmer sunshine, so we hayers have been back in the
fields, trying to dry (by raking or inverting the windrows) the hay and get it
baled and stacked before the next storm system presents itself. It’s hard to
imagine any livelihood more at the mercy of the weather than farming and
ranching!
