Uncontainable

No matter how early we get up, Linus "Don't Fence Me In" Moo is already out of the pasture. At first light, he can be found grazing in the hayfield, puttering about the barnyard, or lounging in the yard.

Around 6 am or so, his mama Cupcake begins calling him to breakfast. Linus saunters up to his preferred gate--a new green one near the house--and calmly waits for one of his butlers (Hubby or me) to open it and let him in.

This routine only varied once. Linus must have escaped in the evening, skipping his supper. Around 3 am, he and Cupcake commenced bawling loudly at the green gate until a growling Hubby woke up and let Linus back in.

Did I mention that Cupcake is the loudest cow on the place? It sounds like she's mooing into a megaphone.
