The nearly unimaginable has happened: a
wonderful warmness has finally managed to triumph over the cold. The ensuing
thaw is altogether a wet, icy, muddy, mucky mess that makes walking, driving,
and housecleaning difficult. Even so, I am delighted. Just one week ago, spring
seemed elusive, if not impossible!
